Preparing for the Desert

Cycling through the desert of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, temperatures will be in excess of 50 degrees, at least 20 litres of water is required on a daily basis, keeping it from reaching almost boiling point is always difficult, we already carry insulated bike bottles, but from past experience we always make some foil sleeves from car windscreen shades for the extra bottles of water we carry, it does make a difference..
