When we cycled over the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan I replaced my tires with a couple of new continentals, after 3 weeks this is what they looked like, completely thread bear! this was due to the terrain, miles and miles of sharp rocky dusty roads.
I’ve still not changed them since then and they’ve crossed Kyrgyzstan and China, luckily I’ve a spare tyre, I just want to see how long they will last! I’m not sure any tire can withstand the roads of the Pamir Highway without some damage, so I can’t blame the brand, but the fact that they are still inflated since then does say something about continental tires!
