The Beautiful Bamboo & Mosquito Island

We made it, second attempt to paddle 20km back to Bamboo Island and Mosquito Island, we tried the other week but our boat sunk halfway, so we’ve been trying to get back in between the storms with it being monsoon season. Anyway today we made it back and stood in the exact spot where I proposed to Gabs 4 years ago “to the day!” and not a sole in sight, no one has been on Mosquito Island for over 5 years, it’s absolutely covered with Mosquitoes, hence it’s name. We had great calm weather heading out at high tide this morning, but as we headed back we were greeted with a strong headwind and a storm on our tail, we made it back to Phi Phi just as the storm hit, how lucky! Hardest day we’ve ever had in a kayak, but what a great experience, so happy we made it! We’ll share a great little film soon 🎥😊
