Rubber Tree Run 🏃‍♀️🏃🌳

Today’s Half Marathon was a Trail Run through the Jungle and rubber tree plantations, and it never stopped raining, which is actually a good thing, as it cools you down slightly.

Now here’s some interesting news!

I know we’ve talked about rubber trees many times before when we cycled through Vietnam and Cambodia, but Thailand’s rubber industry was in bad shape earlier in the year, but now it’s a profitable investment in the ‘white gold of rubber farmland’ rubber trees could be the bright future of farming, the reason being is due to the pandemic, its long-term effects have boosted global demand for rubber, medical rubber gloves are on high demand for at least 3 to 5 years.

So for any of you investors out there.. the latex price in June was THB 44.52 per kg, ($1.43 USD) an increase of THB 4.34, or 10.89 percent, compared to the same period last year, and 6.46 percent from the previous month. The record price per kg in 2011 was 186 THB per kg ($6.00 USD) 😊
