Sorry to say, but todayโs social distancing never quite worked out, as we had to be rescued by a local fishing boat.. ๐ฑ we went out fishing on a route weโve done many times, but as we were 3km out in the ocean, the boat started to take in water, that fast that the boat soon dropped well below the surface, so we had to โabandon shipโ luckily we managed to swim 2km dragging the boat behind us whilst the waves came crashing over us, and constantly flipping the boat, but once we made it through the surf, a local fishing boat suddenly appeared and helped us get the sinking boat out of the water, which was a difficult task, it took 6 of us to lift it out, they then took us back to the shore which was 3km – we could have swam back, but that would have meant leaving the boat behind, we never expected that, we always check the boat before leaving the island and it was ok, thankfully it happened whilst we were only 3km out, as we were heading 10km to a small island, but all is good and the boat is now repaired ready for another day ๐ ๐ฃโโ๏ธ๐ฃ

Just glad you are safe and sound. ..take care xx
